• NAMESERVERS:
  
  In order for us to host your site and your email you must contact your registrar and have them point your domain name to the following NAMESERVERS in the order listed below:
  
  NS1.IDCWEBSERVER.COM
  NS2.IDCWEBSERVER.COM
  
  It may take up to 72 hours (especially if you use Verizon) for the nameservers to be active. Your email and website will not work unless the nameservers are correct and active on all DNS databases.
  
  
• EMAIL:
  
  If your website developer has not configured your email for you, and if you are authorized, you can set up and configure your email through your CONTROL PANEL (see below).
  
  You have 2 methods of access to your email, web-based and POP based.
  
  The primary and preferred way is via Outlook or Outlook Express (or similar email client software that runs on your computer).
  
  The secondary is WEB-BASED (through a web browser) this is called WEBMAIL and is less functional than the above method and is offered to you as a convenience, especially when you travel, and is not designed to be your main tool. There are other more robust WEB-BASED email packages available.
  
  POP3: Is accessed through your computer using Outlook or Outlook Express (they are not the same, we recommend OUTLOOK).
  
  
  • MAIL SERVER SETTINGS:
    
    INCOMING (POP3):  MAIL.DOMAIN.XXX
    OUTGOING (SMTP):  MAIL.DOMAIN.XXX
    
    AUTHENTICATION: You must check the box "My Server Requires Authentication" (see link below).

• PUBLISH YOUR WEBSITE:
  
  Use FTP (see below) Your homepage needs to be in the folder "httpdocs"
  
• FTP (FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL):
  
  Use: FTP://DOMAIN.XXX (from a browser) and your FTP User Name and Password.
  If you are using FTP or other software don't use the "FTP://" just the domain.

• STATS:
  
  You have a choice between AWstats and Webalizer.  Unless you specify otherwise, AWstats is configured and installed automatically when your hosting account is setup.   Statcounter is free and can be used independently or in combination with any other stat reporting method or software.  To use Statcounter your web developer will have to create an account for you and install the code on each page of your website. 
  
  To view your stats point your browser to www.DOMAIN.XXX/plesk-stat/webstat  You will need to know your FTP Login and Password.
